Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction Welcome to Macro Studios (“Website”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our Website and the purchase of digital media downloads (“Works”). By accessing our Website and purchasing our digital content, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. License Granted Upon payment of the required license fees, Macro Studios grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, royalty-free right to use, modify (except as expressly prohibited herein), and reproduce the Works worldwide, in perpetuity, in accordance with the permitted uses listed below. Any use other than the explicitly permitted uses is prohibited.

3. Permitted Uses You may use the Works in the following ways:

(a) Digital Uses:

  • Websites, social media, online or mobile advertising
  • Mobile applications (“apps”), software, e-cards
  • E-publications (e-books, e-magazines, e-journals, blogs, etc.)
  • Email and online marketing
  • Online media, including video-sharing services such as YouTube, Dailymotion, and Vimeo (subject to budget limitations in section (b).

(b) Film Related Uses:

  • Incorporation into film, video, television series, advertisements, or other audio-visual productions for distribution in any medium, provided that the total budget for such production does not exceed USD $10,000.

(c) Print Uses:

  • Physical media including product packaging and labeling
  • Letterheads, business cards, point-of-sale advertising
  • CD/DVD cover art, magazines, newspapers, and books
  • No image may be reproduced more than 500,000 times in the aggregate.

(d) Out-of-Home Advertising Uses:

  • Billboards, street furniture, public transit placements, etc.
  • Intended audience for such advertising campaigns must not exceed 500,000 gross impressions.

(e) Personal Uses:

  • Personal, non-commercial use is permitted.
  • Images may not be resold, downloaded, distributed, or used for any commercial purpose.

4. Restrictions and Prohibited Uses You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, share, or transfer any Work.
  • Use the Works in a manner that is defamatory, offensive, pornographic, unlawful, or violates any applicable laws.
  • Use the Works in a trademark, service mark, or logo without explicit permission.
  • Use the Works in a way that implies endorsement or sponsorship by Macro Studios.
  • Create merchandise intended for resale without obtaining an extended license.

5. Intellectual Property Rights All Works remain the intellectual property of Macro Studios or its contributors. No ownership rights are transferred through the purchase of a license.

6. Refund Policy Due to the digital nature of our products, all sales are final. Refunds or exchanges are not provided unless required by law.

7. Termination We reserve the right to terminate your license or restrict access to our Website if you violate these Terms and Conditions.

8. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Quebec.
